Spring Newsletter 2016
The winter months here in Vermont have passed and left behind a fervent wish for next year – More snow! More cold! More winter! For much of the Northeast, this has been the winter that wasn’t, and besides disappointing cross country ski enthusiasts like us, the unseasonably warm weather has seriously impacted the larger resorts and surrounding communities.
We turn our hopes toward spring, spotting red-winged blackbirds and other visitors returning from their southern migratory grounds. The blue scilla are beginning to bloom, and our beehives sit patiently awaiting warmer weather. (The bees usually start roving around when the fruit trees blossom in May.) The maple sugaring season is already well underway, having started as early as February this year, a month earlier than last.
Things here at Authentic Designs have been very busy. Besides fulfilling orders from across the country for our standard hand built offerings, we have been creating custom fixtures for various decorating, design and architectural firms. Some of these lights are quite contemporary, and some use unique, one-of-a-kind architectural elements, which we have incorporated into the new design.

We look forward to being featured in an upcoming episode of This Old House that will first air on April 21st. Stay tuned to this blog or check our Press page for updates. It has been great working with homeowners Bill and April Harb, as well as the professional and kind crew from This Old House.
Last, but hardly least, we are pleased to let you know that Authentic Designs is turning 50 this year! In addition to this Super Spring Savings Sale that we have created, we are planning a celebration for this summer to acknowledge our company’s founding in 1966 !
