Authentic Designs handcrafts Early American
and Colonial lighting fixtures one at a time in our rural
Vermont workshops. Sources for our lighting designs include
private collectors, historic buildings, New England restorations,
museums, auction houses and antique dealers. All of our chandeliers, sconces, wall lanterns, post lanterns,
floor and table lamps are fabricated in the finest materials
including brass, copper, terne and American hardwoods.
Most
fixtures are available electrified or for candle use in interior
or exterior locations. We offer numerous metal finish options
including burnished brass, copper, pewter, terne, gunmetal,
verdigris and rubbed bronze. Our Vermont maple turnings can
be stained or painted and everything is lightly antiqued to
ensure that your lighting fixture has a soft, patinated appearance
true to the originals. Custom orders are welcome.
